Me susurraba mientras me ilusionaba.

Agotado de ser un apenado violinista
que solo toca melodía para sus oídos
pensando en los momentos que
estaba junto a ella y no me faltaba mas.

As I started reading the story “Little Red Riding Hood” I notice it started the same as I used to remember when I was little. A little girl in a red hood walking on the forest toward her grandmother’s house until she stand upon a wolf, but as innocent as she was she didn’t knew his intentions and told him where she was heading. After that the wolf goes ahead to the grandmother’s house and that’s were all change. The wolf ate the grandmother and then he ate the little red riding hood. Then a huntsmen came along and saved them. This version of the story is so different on how I used to know Little Red Riding Hood. Although the moral of the story didn’t change a lot. “Do not trust strangers” but as I read this ending I notice that some strangers can help us and give us a second chance as the huntsmen did, so I see the moral as to “Be careful who you trust”. After that in class we saw a couple of videos showing other versions of Little Red Riding Hood, and I got to say some of them were strange as the one from Christina Ricci version, leaving the viewer with some sexual connotations, and making her eat her grandmothers guts and blood. But this version it’s showing the transformation of an innocent person to something else… she even ended up fooling and playing with the wolf herself. Other videos were shown of different versions of the story, all of them having a message and other for child’s entertainment. Another video was shown showing that men were the wolf… or the woman if she was tempted to be. As I got home I did some research about it and I found out there were so many other versions of the story around the globe, depending on which country it was told. Changing the wolf with other animals, hyenas, and even werewolf, all of them adapting to their surroundings, culture and time. After reading a couple of them I came to the conclusion that “most” of them let to the same message while others didn’t.  Therefore showing the variety of perspective.
